Tavannes chronograph wristwatch

This watch was made in Switzerland in 1940’s. Stainless steel case is 35,5mm wide without crown and 37mm with crown.

Movement is a rarely seen Venus 165, very finely made with Reed’s precise regulator. Chronograph counts up to 45 minutes, what is less common chronograph feature, as most count only to 30 minutes.

Watch is in overall very good condition regarding it’s age. Movement was serviced by a professional watchmaker, it’s clean, oiled and works very accurate. Dial shows some considerable patina and wear, there’s also a small bend near the 60 second mark on the small seconds counter. Steel case is in very good condition but on the back side some wear to the spring bar holes can be seen. Watch strap is new, very good quality, 19mm, made of brown leather with crocodile skin pattern. For exact condition please refer to photos.
